I love shooting extended families on 30A / WATERCOLOR / BLUE MOUNTAIN BEACH / ALYS BEACH.
Truth be told, it isn’t easy shooting several families, with several sets of kids.
(Though I know vacationing with several sets of families, with several sets of kids is MUCHHH harder)
I also know, that if a LARGE family goes through the trouble that is not only coordinating a vacation together, but also coordinating outfits for an extended family beach session, I am going to TOTES make it worth their while.
Miracles happen all the time, and the water being so bright in the middle of June along with the fact that I didn’t have to edit hundreds of people out of their photos in the background, or swap a single head in a photo certainly counts as my miracle for the month. . . maybe even the year.
It’s always so important to me to capture more than just the smiling faces.
I want them to remember all of it.
So I ask them to bring towels, snacks, bribes and beverages.
Then to trust me to do the rest.
Here is a peak at my extended family beach portrait session from last week.
I’m pretty obsessed with this entire group, and may have offered to buy the clothes off their backs so I could dress every extended family session I shoot, from here on out.
because, they were 100% BEACH OUTFIT PHOTO GOALS.
